The Age of Aurene[1] (1335 AE—present) is the period that begins when Soo-Won, the last of the six Elder Dragons, dies, and the Elder Prismatic Dragon Aurene takes on the role of filtering Tyria's magic in her place. Due to Soo-Won's essence bleeding into the veil separating Tyria from the Mists, the world is in this era vulnerable to threats from beyond, such as the Kryptis and the titans.
