For April Fools' Day 2023, Anet released an April Fools Patch with humorous "updates".

Beginning on April Fools' Day 2023 through April 06, 2023, the Fashion Wars meta event was available at Crow's Nest in Lion's Arch. To have a chance to participate as a contestant, players would wait in the outlined rectangular area behind the stage. When a contestant was selected, the text "Next on the stage is <Character name>!" would appear across the screen and in the chat box. If a player was selected as a contestant, the player would go into the outlined area on stage to compete. Spectators could use cheer skills to support the contestant currently on stage. There is no associated reward for participating nor winning, except for a single achievement for 10 participations.

- Choya Carnival — Spiked Choya Psionic Tonic is available for use while the April Fool's celebrations are active.
- Missive from the Sunbeam Throne — Since April Fools' Day 2020, Gigantic cats are permanently available in major cities. They are visible only while wearing a
Chatoyant Lens (anytime) or after consuming a 
Chatoyant Elixir (only during April Fools').

Wiki[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki announced the Spring 2023 Update, allowing players to use the game and the wiki at the same time. Typing /gw2 into the search bar did not launch the game for some users.
The Wiki Discord server changed their icon to an artistic rendition of the previous logo.
Discord[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Reddit Discord server changed the names and icons of moderators to that of the Tybalt bot. They also changed the server icon into Plush Ess and their banner into the Woodland Sprite Springer Skin.
