Blighted Thorn is an object found on the northeastern shore of Viathan Lake, underneath structural debris of the fallen Tower of Nightmares, just south of the Auld Red Wharf point of interest, and west of Viathan Waypoint. It will only appear after reading the Message in Eye of the North. Retrieving it completes the achievement Visions of the Past: The Nightmare Incarnate, and unlocks Visions of the Past: Antitoxin Injector and Tower Hybrid Master.
