Cooling Rods are objects found in the Thaumanova Reactor Fractal used to reduce the damage received in the Cooling Chamber by placing them in the Cooling Rod Receptacles near the sides of the chamber. Two Cooling Rods can be obtained in the Fractal; one is obtained by defeating the Champion Subject 6 in the Live samples lab, and another one is obtained in the Dormitories (even if the party fails to save the technicians). The rods provide a skill that can protect players while crossing the Cooling Chamber, and they will create a permanent protective bubble once deposited into the receptacles.
