Demonstrate your painting prowess

Demonstrate your painting prowess is a level 80 event in Training Grounds.

Objectives[edit]

  • Execute 5 perfect paint strokes to earn additional time.

Walkthrough[edit]

  • Interacting with an easel applies Desert Carapace.png Painterly Stance, and replaces your skill bar with 1  Painterly Stroke.png Painterly Stroke and 4  Missed Stroke.png Missed Strokes in a random order, which is re-randomised upon usage.
  • You start with 15 seconds of Queued for Queen's Gauntlet Challenge.png Time remaining.
  • Correctly pressing  Painterly Stroke.png Painterly Stroke grants a stack of Thick Skin (Leviathan).png Perfect Stroke and a miniscule amount of heart progress.
  • Multiples of 5 Thick Skin (Leviathan).png Perfect Strokes grant additional time, and bonus heart progress. More heart progress is awarded for higher multiples, but less time:
    • 10 seconds are added at 5 and 10
    • 9s at 15
    • 8s at 20
    • 7s at 25
    • 6s at 30 and 35
    • 5s at 40 and 45
    • No bonus time at 50

Dialogue[edit]

Upon reaching a multiple of 5 perfect strokes
One of the following:
Trainer Yamigi: Your linework is passable.
Trainer Yamigi: Well, try as I might, I can't find any fault with that.
Apprentice Roni: Whoa! That's so good!
Sometimes upon a missed stroke
One of the following:
Trainer Yamigi: Focus. Steady your hand.
Trainer Yamigi: That's certainly a unique interpretation of the word "line".
Apprentice Roni: (snort) I can do better than that!
Trainer Yamigi: Shush. Focus.
Apprentice Roni: That's so messy!
Trainer Yamigi: Roni, address the mess on your own paper, please.

Notes[edit]

  • When  Painterly Stroke.png Painterly Stroke is at skill 1, two stacks of Thick Skin (Leviathan).png Perfect Stroke can be gained if queueing up the skill by double-tapping or holding.
  • Sometimes when using  Missed Stroke.png Missed Stroke, the skills will not re-randomize, and a short global cooldown will apply instead.
  • The skills are affected by Quickness.png Quickness, making it significantly easier to reach a higher score. This also allows  Painterly Stroke.png Painterly Stroke to double-score on skill 2 and 3.
