An Enormous Chest of Legendary Shards is a container with a choice of 75 Legendary Shards. It is created by forging any 100 Legendary Shards. It is used to convert one type of Legendary Shard into another, and is commonly used to convert the cheaper off-hand Shards into the more expensive 1-handed or 2-handed Shards.

- Choice of one of the following items:
- Second-generation legendary weapons (not including Astralaria, Chuka and Champawat, HOPE, and Nevermore) require a total of 290 of its associated shard.
- If buying materials from the Trading Post, it may be cheaper to craft Enormous Chest of Legendary Shards from off-hand weapon shards instead of directly crafting Legendary Shards for one- or two-Handed Weapons for all or part of the total 290 shards.
- This depends on the ratio between the price of tier 5 Crafting Trophies and Mithril as well as Elder Wood, since Shards of any type require 1 Mystic Curio to craft, but the amounts of Mithril and Elder Wood vary by weapon type.
- To determine which method is cheaper, the price comparison for 290 one-handed, two-handed, and off-hand shards are as follows:
