Fungi are a type of creature introduced in Heart of Thorns. They are found all across the Heart of Maguuma, as well as in the lush sections of the Bitterfrost Frontier, Draconis Mons, Dragonfall, and Lowland Shore. Fungi also inhabit the continents of Cantha and Castora; the former is home to a population in the Echovald Forest and, recently, an invasive species brought from Maguuma by Tyrian traders.[1] They are led by their kings, queens and in some rare cases by more powerful individuals known as emperors.
Fungi are able to be cultivated and tamed with enough time and effort, as has been done by the Pact skritt that landed within the Auric Basin during the campaign against Mordremoth.
