I wanted to thank you for encouraging me to join the festivities of the battle's eve at Claw Alder's behest. I have always relished my work as a diplomat, from the gardened halls of the queen's palace in Divinity's Reach to the blooming shores of Orr and the company of its ghostly royals.

Speaking to the contents of your last letter, I am heartened to learn of your progress regarding a cure for our Pale Mother, your intuition to seek this Waiting Sorrow has paid off. These leads will require time to research and pursue, but our search has started to narrow.

You are no stranger to discretion, so for now I ask you to keep these developments close to your chest to avoid there being—as the lowlanders put it—too many cooks in the kitchen.
