Malfunctioning Ley-Woven Shielding is an effect applied to the Prototype Arsenite, Prototype Indigo and Prototype Vermilion in the Old Lion's Court. It prevents damage, but conditions can still be applied. When the unit finishes it's attack and lowers it's guard,  Exposed and  Stun will be applied for a few seconds.
