Mechanical race is a parameter set to NPCs whose in-game race is different to their lore race, with the most common example being raid bosses who are mechanically categorized as plants to prevent the usage of slayer potions and sigils. Mechanical race can be most commonly observed by utilizing slayer potions, sigils, and the progress on slayer achievements.
