Mysterious energy hovers in the air above a symbol affixed to the wall, crackling with powerful magic. You hear a faint, resonant hum from a room on the other side of the wall it's attached to.

A shimmer of mysterious energy hovers over an empty slot in this bookcase. The books on either side of the empty space are titled "Eternal Verities (Unabridged)" and "Excellent Spells for Novices."

Mysterious energy ripples over a symbol affixed to the base of this statue. An inscription on the statue reads:

"Only those with the strongest of wills are rewarded with the key to their destiny."

Look closer at the inscription.

Examining the inscription in more detail, you see the words "strongest of wills" highlighted with a slight glow of energy. Something turns your stomach if you focus too long on them.

Touch the glowing words. (Gives you the Begin Trial of Strength skill)

Mysterious Energy protecting the Bastion of the Obscure Key

Mysterious energy pulses with powerful magic unlike any you've seen before. Some sort of symbol is affixed to the wall, with what looks to be text along the border of a seal: a riddle.
