Notes

• The cooldown begins once   Shadow Return is available. It lasts 15 seconds.
  • The amount of time remaining to use Shadow Return after casting Shadowstep is indicated by the  Infiltration effect.
• If you are out of range, it will move you 1200 units toward your original location.
• Shadowstep effects like Relic of Peitha trigger right away before you change locations so they happen around where you left.

February 11, 2025	Increased the cooldown from 50 seconds to 60 seconds in WvW only.
June 27, 2023	Reduced the cooldown of this skill from 50 seconds to 30 seconds in PvE only.
March 05, 2019	The window to use Shadow Return after using this skill has been increased from 10 seconds to 15 seconds. A tool tip has been added to show the window's duration.
March 16, 2015	This skill will no longer activate if a valid path to the target point cannot be found, except when acting as a stun break.
November 15, 2012	This skill is temporarily disabled underwater to keep players from circumventing walls when using it.
August 28, 2012	Game release: Shadowstep has been added to the game.
