We play a critical role in this war. We keep this route open for supply caravans and troops. You wouldn't believe the array of soldiers and our allies I've seen cross this bridge. It's been impressive.

Who else travels through here?

I've seen marching Blood Legion, fleeing hylek, an expedition of Durmand Priory scholars—including a veiled asura—and their equipment, and a funeral cortege of broken warriors led by a sylvari valiant. Those I've seen go, sometimes return, but never in the same condition.

• Shreda's comment about seeing hylek use the bridge seems out of place, as there is no hylek presence at all in Ascalon, or even the neighboring Shiverpeak Mountains (excluding those in Timberline Falls much further to the south) for them to possibly flee from into Ascalon.
