Talk:Ecto gambling
According to Sandstorm_Flush_Hand/Drop_rate, Amnoon ecto gambling incurs an average loss of about 5g each time. That page states that the calculation of that average does not include the Sandstorm Lucky Draw, which has a drop rate of about 75% for a Supreme Rune of Holding, which sells for about 15g at the time of writing. This implies hat you could add about 1.8g to each draw (chance of getting a Sandstorm Lucky Draw * chance of Sandstorm Lucky Draw containing a Supreme Rune * sell price of the rune: 0.16 * 0.76 * 15g).
It's still an overall loss, but by slightly less. But that brings me to my question. I haven't done Brisban Wildlands gambling.
Does the Brisban ecto gambling have a similar "offset" mechanic? I saw that it can drop items that you can use to craft a portable mystic forge, but those are worth very little in comparison to the Supreme Rune. Does that mean that the Amnoon gambling is slightly better than the Brisban Wildlands gambling?
- The respective item from Tarrktun gambles is the Unidentifiable Goo-Covered Object that you found, which contains
junkshinies and cheap mystic forge components. Yes, the current drop rate research implies that Sandstorm gambling has less loss. The house always wins, no matter which casino you go to. --Hazasoul (talk) 16:20, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
