Potentially related to the Frysk folk-hero 'Great Pyr' of Kimsward, a giant of a man who reportedly used a sword almost identical to this one to behead several enemies in one swing during combat. I'd be more hesitant to bring up this 'potential fact' if not for the surprising amount of Frysk-named NPCs in the game.
