Cliff dive insights[edit]
While on your tortoise chair, if you walk off a cliff:
- - The Glide and Dismount features will not work, until your chair has been toggled off.
- - You can use the Novelty button/bind, to toggle off your chair. Your chair must be the active Novelty option (in bottom right), for this to work.
- - For a short height drop, the tortoise chair may survive the fall, with some health taken down.
- - For a bigger height drop, you'll first have the tortoise chair break your fall, which will toggle off your chair. On most flat surfaces, it looks like you won't take any additional damage. There are some exceptions, such as the bottom area of Verdant Brink, where your character landing at any speed will result in instant death.
- - Walking into deep water, will toggle off your chair.
