Talk:Relic of Lyhr

Genuinely curious about a few things:

  1. Does the 50% damage reduction stack multiplicatively with other reductions, like Protection?
- Answer: the 50% damage applies after all other damage mitigations of the original target have taken effect, meaning it stacks multiplicatively.
  1. Do ally toughness or Protection reduce the wearer's damage?
- Answer: The ally'

s toughness, protection, and other damage reduction sources will reduce the damage taken before it is split between the ally and the wearer of the relic of Lyhr. Personal damage reduction by the person who has relic of Lyhr equipped does not affect the damage taken for themselves nor the ally.

  1. Does the wearer take damage when it affects an ally's barrier?
  2. Does the wearer still take the damage while dodging or blocking?

Sadly as nobody has ever been brave enough - due to their entire party, either by being morons or their best mates, standing in all the aoe, nobody has ever used this relic and we'll never know. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 09:10, 31 December 2023 (UTC)

notes[edit]

  • when you take damage on behalf of someone else, the log says "You hit yourself fox X using Relic of Lyhr"
  • the combat log never says the self hit is a critical
  • damage is listed as individual packets on the combat log, but the red damage text instantly appears as the total damage received
  • damage doesn't seem to apply to you if you're in the middle of an evade, needs more testing to confirm
  • barrier can fully absorb inflicted damage, or at least as much as it can for each packet of damage. i'm playing in open world so not sure if ally barrier does anything before the damage is sent over
