Difluorite Crystal (Can also be obtained by the Return to A Star to Guide Us rewards) seems to be a typo, should be referring to the return quest for a bug in the system. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 119.92.12.120 (talk) at 19:00, 16 September 2021 (UTC).

Skelk are west of Winchill pass, not east. See below correction Tasty Skelk Liver - Drops off any Skelk in the Stampede Uplands area of Desert Highlands West of Point of interest (map icon).pngWindchill Pass, where snow first starts on the mountains. Alternatively, just west of Waypoint (map icon).png Bloodfields Waypoint — [&BAIEAAA=] contains multiple Skelk. I have just verified it and it's correct. Stampede Uplands is indeed at east of Windchill Pass. --Txonä Atan - (talk) 00:44, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Seriously? Feedback 2023/11/28[edit]

The difficulty of this quest far outweighs most benefits. The sky scale thus far is awkward to use. It is a thought, that may be whoever designed this quest did so out of some hatred or unexpressed spite, though I can not for the life of me imagine why. Countless posts refer to this mount as not worth the time and effort, nor cost in resources. Readers should allow a large amount of room for disappointment after going through all of this, as much of your effort will go unrewarded. Quests that end up doing nothing, resources and time poured into this, make for a rather big let down once you see what this thing can...or rather can not do. I imagine if you were to get 10 masteries for completion one might be a bit more satisfied...a bit. Thankfully there is another way to get the mount through what seems an excess use of masteries from a different expansion. It would seem then that those who did it the original way are being ripped off in a sense, garnering what seems to be little reward for their suffering. A few achievement points is a pittance in comparison to the strife one endures during this quest. Lastly it would be best to warn players that auto targeting should be off while trying to feed the skyscale.....otherwise you might take upwards of 2 years trying to figure out how to do it with it turned on.........>( The preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.68.32.146 (talk) at 13:28, 28 November 2023 (UTC).

This overview and guide is awesome. 👍
Something to improve: I miss the information about the possibility of skipping via sky scale treat in the overview before you start. Since the treat also requires resources which are time-gated, I think this is very important in preparation. I'm going to craft 4 (I know I'll need at least two - Vaabi boss and Timberline jp), just to be safe, and sell what I don't use. I suggest that a hint about the existence of the treat be placed at the top (in the preparation part). At least point out the Skyscale Lost section in the beginning to make beginners check what is for them and where they might want to skip. --Lucy Luft (talk) 22:22, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

Add to the section about feeding Skyscale hatchling: If you can't feed your Skyscale hatchling, here are a few tips that can help. First, right-click on the piece of skyscale food and add it to your collection (this option will not be available if you've already done it). Next, if you have your Skyscale food in a hidden inventory slot, you must move it into a regular bag slot. If you still don't have the option to feed the Skyscale, leave the Sun's Refuge instance and then re-enter. When you walk up to the nest, you should now have the option to automatically feed your hatchling. If all else fails, log out and back in, or submit a support ticket.
