• I think they patched out being able to target or call-target the Skyscale. When I tried it the target was automatically dropped after starting the hide-and-seek. Call Target worked to mark it for easier spotting, but on Medium it seemed to periodically drop the mark, and on Hard it dropped the mark every single time. --75.129.111.198 17:17, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

Yes, your target is dropped after the black screen. If the skyscale respawns out of target range, you will not be able to retarget it until you get in range of it. If it respawns far enough away out of draw distance, it may lose its target; you can prevent this by running back towards the middle of the area after you find the skyscale each time.

If you really want to cheese this activity with targets, use both "Call Target" and "Call Personal Target" on the skyscale. After respawn, move close enough and use "Take Target" until it targets the skyscale. Now target something else and use "Call Target" to remove the target from the skyscale. Then use "Take Personal Target" to target the skyscale again. Use "Call Target" on the skyscale and then the minimap will ping with the skyscale's location. --Vm0d (talk) 18:57, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

• Holding "Show Ally Names" (Left Alt in my case) shows the Adolescent Skyscale name tag above them, making them easier to find. --Markyparky56 (talk) 12:15, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

The default keybind is indeed Left Alt, and it is categorized under Miscellaneous. Alternatively, the player can also turn on Show All NPC Names in the General Options tab. - Ojimaru (talk) 12:24, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
