Armor in the ritual[edit]
Does anyone know what that set of armor is when entering the ritual? It's really cool, I can make out the shoulders are obviously cathedral of flame but the rest is a mystery to me.173.88.250.197 22:10, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Chest and leggings seem to be Orr karma armor, the helm looks like heavy plated, the rest I'm not sure. You can get a really good look if you open the hero panel Taino 00:56, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Head: Dark Armor, Chest: Unique, but a close match to Caudecus Manor Armor, Shoulders: Citadel Of Flame, Gauntlets: Also unique, but related to the Heavy Plate armor, Leggings: Caudecus straight out, Boots: Also Heavy Plate
This is basing it off of the picture for the Avatar Of Balthazar though -Carlin
Becoming Avatar of Balthazar as a Revenant[edit]
When you become the Avatar of Balthazar as a Revenant you lost your belt, utility and elite skills, including your healing skill. So the instance is quite more complicated. 46.25.162.143 14:53, 10 December 2016 (UTC) Keroak
- That's quite interesting. Seems like an oversight by ANet, since revenants don't have access to racial (transformation) skills. —Ventriloquist 16:37, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Multiplayer Avatars?[edit]
Does anyone know if starting this mission with party members will cause everyone to become the Avatar or is it only the main party member? --GoingMenthol (talk) 13:30, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- I haven't tested it myself but going by how PS and story instances in GW2 generally work it's only the instance owner that gets transformed, special skills, bundles etc. Other party members are joining as-is.-- LuneNoire (talk) 21:49, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
Avatar form seems extremely weak?[edit]
As the avatar, you seem to do very little damage, taking many hits to kill even basic thralls - much less damage than in your 'normal' form (although I guess that depends on your build to some extent). Was avatar damage nerfed at some point for some reason? It feels really odd to have this hyped up as you being transformed into an avatar of destruction and then hitting like a wet noodle. Also makes the mission a long boring slog instead of a cathartic revenge battle as is should be narratively.
Also, no sign of 'gaining power through the slaughter of your enemies', I didn't notice any increase in damage, speed, defences, anything.
