Usage[edit]

Where shading is one of the following values:
| Contrasts | Tints | Commonly used for |
|---|---|---|
| Lighter | Tint2 | striped row |
| Light | Tint | alternate row |
| Medium | Background | header row background; this is the default shade |
| Dark | Border | table/div borders; text |
On articles that use multiple shades, stick with the naming convention of either the first (contrast) or second (tint) column; mixing up the names makes it more difficult to compare.
