My words are honeyed, sweet and soothing to the ears—but nothing soothes a weary soul like another round of beers.

Hello, I am Aylia from the german wiki. Every now and then I will add some interwiki links or update images.

Interesting pages[edit]

So many questions[edit]

Maybe interesting for the english wiki[edit]

Regarding this change on an area in Hoelbrak, I want to tell you sth I found out when editing in the german wiki.

  • In most of the release cities (except for Rata Sum afaik) there are a many npcs that have oneliner ambient dialogue.
  • There is no good way to identify these npcs. The only indications are, that they never have any dialogue with any other npcs, though in most cases standing in front of another npc. They do not have specific names, often called "Local", "Citizen", "Child".
  • The onliner dialogues are splitted of into some small pools of average 5 to 6 onliners. A npc does only have access to his specific pool of onliners and it never changes. The pool ist "hardcoded" to the specific npc and does not change when the map/server resets.
  • There is usually more than one npc with the same pool of dialogue, so the dialogue isn't limited to only one area.
  • The hardest part about finding these dialogues is, that these npc seem to stop talking after a while. So if an instance is active for too long, they won't start their dialogue anymore. That is why Old Lion's Arch and the Black Citadel dialogues are easiest to get. There aren't a lot of players around Memory od Old Lion's Arch, so the instance resets regularly. The black citadel has the players home instance, where you can find a lot of these npcs. You as a player can reload the instance manually by entering it, so you can get a lot of dialogue from there. Maybe you already wondered why you get hammered by dialogue when entering Hero's Canton.

I link some examples for listing these onliner dialogues. Although in german, it may give you a better understanding for what the hell I am talking about 😂
