Briefly

Misa is a proudly transgender charr mesmer, and part of Ash Legion. Her proper name is Damisakantia Shadeclaw, but very few people know this, and she allows even fewer to use it. Ostracized and isolated in Fahrar, she ended up graduating a Gladium and spent several years essentially freelancing in search of a warband. In 1323AE, she encountered the Blackened Blade warband in Blazeridge Steppes, and was recruited by Eludun Breakblade. Promoted to her own command in 1327AE, founding the Shade warband. She has participated in every major campaign, often in the front line. She is a member of the Order of Whispers, but often seems to be at odd with their leadership. Some have theorized this is one of their manipulations.

Personality

Misa is considered to be an excellent mesmer, and a 'total hardass.' She doesn't tolerate slacking from her own and demands things be done by the book. No small part of this is because of the continuing discrimination she faces, many of the older charr always looking for any excuse to make her look weak or incompetent. Unsurprisingly, she has zero tolerance for any form of bigotry including against other races, but almost never responds to bigotry directed at her. She is incredibly driven and hyper-conscious of the eyes on her, constantly studying and training. In combat, she favors fluidity and movement, moving in and out quickly. Generally she is quiet and shy around unfamiliar faces, worried about their reaction to her voice.

• Transgender, but doesn't use illusions to conceal her appearance (hence the very small fangs)
• Describes her sexuality as "no." She's not interested in it. Any of it.
• Still wears her Blackened Blade pendant, a black iron dagger with a piece of inert brandstone inset
• Is pretty sure removing the Commander from the situation would make it at least 50% better
