Location[edit]
Dialogue[edit]
- If asura
- You are among the fortunate who find themselves in Soren Draa—the center of the known universe. Or, at least, the parts of the universe that actually matter.
- What about Rata Sum?
- Rata Sum and its three colleges are merely the training ground from which our brightest escape to pursue their genius here among their intellectual peers. Don't get me wrong, Rata Sum is a fine place to be from.
- But the center of the universe?
- All of our greatest labs are within sight of these steps. Hydrone, Incinergen, Opticalium, Terranexic, Aeronotics, PR&T, Splorg. The very future is being formed inside their hallow walls.
- But don't important things happen elsewhere too?
- For whatever reason, when we first emerged from the underground, the smartest were drawn here like mental[sic] to a magnet. The cream rose to Soren Draa and the crap settles everywhere else.
- It's an interesting theory, even if your metaphors need work. Good-bye.
- Good luck with the future forming. Good-bye.
- Interesting. I'll take a look around.
- If not asura
- You are among the fortunate who find themselves in Soren Draa—the center of the known universe. Or, at least, the parts of the universe that actually matter.
- What makes this place the center of the universe?
- Every important asuran lab is merely a hop, skip and a jump—the asura's preferred mode of locomotion—from the very spot on which we stand. The future is being formed within the confines of their walls.
- But aren't there other important places outside Soren Draa?
- It's been proven empirically that for every step one takes beyond Soren Draa, the average IQ drops by a factor of 0.05, until one reaches the Black Citadel, where no measurable intelligence remains.
- Then Soren Draa is the asuran capital?
- I would pin that "honorific" on Rata Sum. But Rata Sum is merely the training ground from which the best and brightest asura escape to pursue their genius here amongst their intellectual equals.
- Then perhaps I'll just take a look around. Good-bye.
- Thanks for the quick tour. Good-bye.
- Interesting. I'll take a look around.
