Walkthrough[edit]

In this event, 6 bosses spawn throughout the map, 1 per sector. Event awards are given once all 6 are beaten.

Each boss has its own signature ability. Killing a boss transfers that ability to all remaining bosses. This means that an ideal map will kill the bosses within seconds of each other, so their abilities don't persist among the remaining bosses for too long.

Boss Granted ability Description Tips
Sparcus Firesplash Fiery Tornado (effect).png Fiery Tornado Dashes to distant players and launches them. Summons Fiery Tornadoes that travel randomly and burn players who get caught in them. Sparcus frequently reflects projectiles. Bring weapons and skills that have non-projectile options. When Sparcus dashes, they also summon lava fountains that may be side-stepped.
Boom-Boom Baines Bandit Boon.png Explosive Powder Keg Throws various grenades that explode after a delay. Look for and destroy Shielding Turrets to speed up kills.
Justiciar Hablion Spectral Displacement.png Spectral Displacement Summons displacement traps that teleport players to a random place in the sky when triggered. You do not take fall damage from being displaced. His spinning pull attack may be reflected, which usually fully depletes his defiance bar.
Pyroxis Firewave.png Firewave Shoots a fan of fire that inflicts burning. Its Fireball Barrage attack may be fully reflected, dealing massive significant damage.
Wiggin the Wicked Bombs Away.png Bombs Away Sets a field of explosives in a (+) shape that explode after a short delay. A single dodge can dodge multiple AoE attacks.
Kuraii the Cruel Trample (Kuraii).png Trample Summons a pack of centaurs that roam the battlefield and launch players. Some of his non-aoe attacks may be reflected. He may be damaged as he runs away.

Strategy[edit]

To achieve a Gold completion rating, all bosses must be defeated within 8 minutes. This time limit is quite lenient and should be easily achievable without coordination. There are two main strategies.

Strategy that sees frequent use in PUG groups and Multi-map squads
  1. Spread out in groups, equal or unequally amongst 3-5 bosses, leaving Hablion alone.
  2. Engage the bosses, killing them without timing.
  3. The players that kill their bosses early check other bosses' healthbars in the event UI and then go to inactive bosses or the bosses with the most health remaining.
  4. Players end with killing Hablion, as his ability is generally considered the most annoying when passed on.
Historical strategy that may still see use in organized squads
  1. Separate into 6 roughly even groups close to the start of the event. (During Prepare for the Boss Blitz)
  2. Engage the boss. When the boss reaches 25% health or lower, reduce your damage.
  3. Check that other groups are reaching the same milestone. Gradually lower their health to around 10%, then halt damage.
  4. Once all groups have reached their 10% milestone, quickly damage your boss and reduce them to 0 health.
Multi-maps

Squad leaders may track multiple instances of Boss Blitz by having certain players "anchor" a map instance. That anchor player stays in that map instance and reports when it is approaching the event start. A squad might have 5 or more instances it is tracking, leading to less downtime between events. When their map event starts, they let the squad know and players will join their instance by right clicking their nameplate in the squad UI. When the event completes the anchor stays and the other players move onto the map that is closest to beginning.

Tips[edit]

  • Generally, maps will request that Justiciar Hablion is killed last. This is not mandatory, but is preferred because his ability is the most annoying to deal with.
  • Every boss features a Defiance bar mechanic. Breaking the defiance bar will grant Might.png5 Might to all players not in that pie slice.
  • Any player who can see a given boss's event is contributing to the scaling of that event, regardless of their participation. This includes dead players and players who are spectating from the bridges that surround the pits.
  • At the Bronze Tier reward, the bosses no longer transfer their abilities to other bosses once defeated.

Notes[edit]

  • Accessing the gauntlets above will forfeit you from getting any rewards, even if you have already defeated one of the champions.
  • During August 10 to August 13, 2018, there was a Special event active. During the Weekend Boss Blitz Bonanza, players had to defeat 5,000 Boss Blitz bosses to earn rewards. Everyone who participated in at least one boss will get 5 Celebration Booster.pngCelebration Boosters and 10 Zephyr Sanctum Supply Box.pngZephyrite Supply Boxes. [1]
    • The goal was increased to 7,500 and 10,000 bosses, with additional rewards. The total reward for each player who participated in the weekend event is 25 boosters and 45 boxes.
      • However, some players reported receiving the rewards twice. At this moment, it is unknown if it was because of a bug.
  • Prior to August 2025, boss health would not be displayed unless you were within proximity of that boss. During the 2025 update, global health bars were added for all the bosses regardless of which arena players are in. This change removed much of the coordinated needed previously.
