The Century of Prophecy is one of the eras denoted by the Wizard's Court. Based on the writings of Wayfinder Aziure, it covers the time from 1000 to 1100 AE. The naming is likely inspired by Glint's Flameseeker Prophecies.[1]
Notable events[edit]
- 1013 AE: The Third Guild War begins in Ascalon.[2][3][4]
- 1016 AE: The Second Great Corsair War ends. Istan established as maritime power.[3]
- 1020 AE: Founding of Surmia in Ascalon to honor the soldiers who fell in the Second Guild War.[5]
- 1058 AE: Emperor Kintah dies and is succeeded by his son Kisu, who becomes the 31st Canthan emperor.[3]
- 1067 AE: Saul D'Alessio encounters the mursaat and establishes the White Mantle in Kryta.[6]
- 1070 AE: The Searing of Ascalon. The end of the Third Guild War.[2] King Jadon of Kryta flees Lion's Arch and dies in a mursaat ambush.[7]
- 1071 AE: The Cataclysm of Orr.[8]
- 1072 AE: Prince Rurik dies in a Stone Summit ambush while leading Ascalonian refugees to Kryta. Destruction of most of the mursaat and fall of Bava Nisos. First major titan invasion. Affliction of Cantha.
- 1075 AE: Nightfall of Elona. Release of Palawa Joko from his prison. Death of the fallen god Abaddon. Ascension of Kormir.
- 1077 AE: Minister Reiko Murakami officially establishes the Ministry of Purity in Cantha.[9]
- 1078 AE: First destroyer invasion in the modern day. Transformation of the dwarves. Beginning of the charr rebellion against the shaman caste.
- 1079 AE: Krytan civil war ends with the White Mantle's defeat. Salma claims the throne of Kryta and begins the Salmaic Dynasty. The Seraph are established.
- 1080 AE: Minister Reiko is assassinated and becomes the martyr of the Ministry of Purity. Founding of Ebonhawke.[8][10]
- 1088 AE: Kryta unifies behind Queen Salma.[8]
- 1090 AE: Charr High Legions take Ascalon City. The Foefire.[8]
