Location[edit]
Text[edit]
- The wall that once guarded Ascalon is now marred with graffiti carved into the stone. Most of it is unreadable, but a closer examination might reveal something more.
- Examine it more closely.
- Examine it with a trained eye.
- Several inscriptions appear under trained scrutiny.
- Look carefully.
- One inscription is barely visible. It says, "Blood warband was here. (1090)"
- Look harder.
- Leave.
- Examine the cracks.
- The remnants of a small, carved figure hides deep inside a crevice in the wall. Once the cobwebs are removed, it's clear that the figure was once a tiny human doll.
- Examine the doll.
- The doll was carved in hard oak. If, at one time, the doll wore clothing or had hair, it has long since disintegrated. All evidence suggests that someone small-handed tucked the doll in the hole—to keep it safe.
- Look around more.
- Leave.
- Use chalk to reveal what's hidden.
- It requires special skill to discern the letters, but there's a list marked into the wall, a series of human names. Above the list, it says, "In Memorium."[sic]
- Look around more.
- Leave.
- Leave.
