Defeat the Ascalonian soldier, Horace is a level 6 event that occurs under Old Duke's Estate, inside of Barradin's Vaults, as the last part of the Battle in the Vault meta event. Upon defeating Horace, a Splendid Chest appears.

- Horace was reduced from Champion to Veteran rank in the May 20, 2014 game update.
- Defeating Horace was required to uncontest the underground Vault Waypoint. The waypoint has since been removed from the game.
