Dialogue[edit]
- Before event
- Ormhilde: Did you hear? The sons of Svanir destroyed the bridge! Engineer Larain is already starting work on the rebuild effort.
- I want to help. Where should I go?
- Engineer Larain should be at the bridge now, or where it used to be. When you exit the haven, go west along the road, and you'll run into her or her crew.
- I'll see what I can do.
- Good luck with that. I have other things to do.
- Event start
- Engineer Larain: The bridge is in shambles. We need wood to fix it, and fast. You guys up to the task?
- Woodcutter (1): Yes!
- Woodcutter (2): You know it!
- Woodcutter (3): Count me in!
- Engineer Larain: All right, then head out to the woods. I'll get things ready for construction.
- Engineer Larain: And be careful!
- Woodcutter (1): Follow me!
- Woodcutter (2): This isn't right. What are dredge doing here?
- Woodcutter (3): Looks like the vermin found our logging grounds.
- Woodcutter (1): At this rate, they'll strip the place bare. We have to push them out!
- During the event
- Ormhilde: Come close. You should hear this.
- Ormhilde: After the Svanir destroyed the bridge, Engineer Larain sent a group of woodcutters to collect lumber for the repairs. They've been gone awhile.
- Where are they? I'll check on them.
- I'd appreciate that. Head east along the road, and you'll catch up to the woodcutters.
- Thanks. I'll leave now.
- The Sons of Svanir destroyed the bridge?
- Yes, but I'm not sure why. Maybe they knew that bombing the bridge would impede the Lionguard.
- And it has. How about I check on the woodcutters? (Same as "Where are they? I'll check on them.")
- I guess I'll take another route.
- I bet they're doing just fine. Good-bye.
- Snowdrift Guide: Ho, traveler. The bridge is out of commission, thanks to the Sons of Svanir and their explosives. For now, use an alternate route.
- Do you need help fixing the bridge?
- Snowdrift Guide: It can't hurt. A group of woodcutters are fetching lumber for the bridge right now. I'm sure they could use your help.
- Great, I'll go find them.
- That's too bad. Thank you.
- Event success
- Woodcutter (3): And stay out, you smarmy rodents!
- Woodcutter (2): That'll show 'em! Now let's get to work.
- Woodcutter (1): Okay, that's got to be enough timber for [sic] least one bridge. Let's head on back.
- Engineer Larain: What a haul! Good job. We'll get started on the bridge right away. Go rest up, you deserve it.
- Engineer Larain: All right, let's not keep those caravans waiting!
- Engineer Larain: Good job, men. That's a bridge the Lionguard can be proud of. Now let's get these caravans back on schedule.
- Shortly after the bridge is repaired, two asura appear
- Worker: I heard the bridge was out, but look: there it is.
- Trader: You sound disappointed.
- Worker: They sent for me to repair the cursed thing. What am I supposed to do now?
- Event failure if the dredge collect enough lumber
- Engineer Larain: You three look terrible. What happened? Did the trees fight back?
- Woodcutter (1): Dredge have taken the area.
- Woodcutter (2): We were overwhelmed.
- Woodcutter (3): Let's rest up. We'll try again later.
- Engineer Larain: Don't take too long—I need this bridge repaired today.
Notes[edit]
- This event is triggered when a player approaches Engineer Larain.
- The Dredge have to be killed. The event the succeeds. The workers run around for a short while then go to the bridgehead. There was no visible filling of the Dredge Lumber bar.
