Defend the inhabitants of Podaga Steading is a level 23 event that occurs at the Podaga Steading in the Skradden Slopes. All the dredge invaders will attack the village from the spot marked by orange arrow on the minimap. There is a total of 10 villagers to defend and the event will only fail if all of them die.

- Dredge Worker: The revolution is here, pig-dogs! You and your monument to self-indulgence will fall!
- Veteran Custodian Wollam: Oh, by Bear's shaggy—Dredge attack! Get the children and travelers to safety. Everyone else, stand with me!
- During event
- Hunter: OK, kids, the steading's under attack. You can join me, just this once, and we'll go protect everyone in that building there.
- Urchin: Yay! We're in a hunting party! Follow the hunter!
- Lodge Guard(female): Most of the villagers and travelers have been evacuated to this southern lodge. Custodian Wollam is holding off the dredge on the south side of the steading. Please, help him!
South. Got it.
- Lodge Guard(male): Don't worry. We'll protect the people that retreated into the lodge. The main battle is on the south side of the steading. Hurry!
- All right, I'll check out the south side of town.
- Veteran Custodian Wollam: All of the young children and their guardians are safely in hiding. We're their last defense. Protect the steading!

- Veteran Custodian Wollam: A surprisingly well-planned assault for dredge. Not very effective, but well planned.
