Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Delicious Desserts: Purchase a Bowl of Prickly Pear Sorbet.pngWinterberry Sorbet from Renown heart NPC repeatable.png Farmer Simooba at Point of interest (map icon).png Whorl Lagoon in the southeast (or from the TP), and give it to Koollan the Little Builder living with his parents in Point of interest (map icon).png Gooloopa Deeps.
The dessert is not acquired from The Bitter Cold despite the achievement's description.
  2. ^ Dive Master: Cold Feet: There are several Diving Goggles placed around the Bitter Cold area. All of them are placed above solid ice. To be successful, you must use the highest one, in the southeastern corner of the area. There are three goggles close together in this area: one on a pillar, on on a ledge at the same height as the pillar, and the third on another ledge above the second goggles. This third one will allow you to safely break through the ice to the water below; aim for the obvious patch of ice. There is also an Icebound Chest in the water below the dive point. Using any of the other dive points will result in the ice not breaking and you taking falling damage.
After using the highest goggles to dive and break through the ice, the impact may still kill you in the water, and you will not receive the achievement. If this occurs, a workaround is to break the ice first with a mount to take the fall damage, or by bringing somebody else, before diving into the water. Breaking the ice patches will reveal some mobs which you will need to kill. The hole in the water will become very obvious after breaking the ice patches.
  3. ^ Gift of Aurene: Components for the Gift of Aurene collection can be bought and sold on the Trading Post. Each part can only be crafted once per day per account, on the standard daily reset. The parts are tradable, but the complete doll is account-bound.
  4. ^ Heart, Moxie, and Many Sweaters:
Heart, Moxie, and Many Sweaters does not require the player to be alive when they have 20 stacks of Bitter Cold. Bitter Cold accumulates even when defeated, so simply being in a Bitter Cold area long enough will grant the achievement. Player tested on 11/28/22: This seems to have been patched, but you can still die and accumulate 20 stacks, then use a Revive Orb to get the achievement. Alternately, Bitter Cold will also need to whittle through a mount's lifebar if you enter while mounted, which can be used to extend your own exposure time to hopefully accumulate enough stacks. Update 31/05/2025: With the ability to mount Skyscale or Warclaw in combat, you can switch to either when you are dropped, making it easy to achieve the achievement.
  5. ^ Playing Chicken: The achievement can be completed by kicking a chicken until it explodes. Chickens can be found in the grawl encampment near the Chokocooka's Throne POI.

Trivia[edit]

  • The "Playing Chicken" achievement, specifically the title 'Chicken Chaser' is likely a reference to the Fable video game series, in which the protagonist is given the derisive nickname "Chicken Chaser" by the townsfolk. This could also be a reference to the Legend of Zelda video game series, where repeatedly attacking a cucco (that game's version of chicken) has them attack Link.
