The firefly essence is a vital part of the hylek concoction that is fired from these cannons.

Sure, I'll take any help I can get making this place more defensible. These hylek are up to their necks in Orrian undead!

What do you need me to do?

Our primary objective is to fight back the undead, so kill any that you see. We're working on getting some better defenses going.

What kind of defenses?

The best chance we've[sic] are these hylek fire cannons. They're quite powerful, but they require a lot of ammunition. They also have a big weakness.

How can we get more ammo?

Fireflies. These hylek can make a very potent explosive with their essence. We just need someone to go bring it back.

Why do we need so much ammo?

Speed. The cannons are slow to fire, which makes the faster undead hard to hit. There are spike traps to slow them down, but we need to reset them after each use.

OK, but can we get more ammo in case we keep missing?

I'll see about resetting those traps, then.
