Golden Lake Spirits are a pair of human ghosts who appear after placing a golden ring in a crevice of the Lover's Wall at the Golden Lake.
Biography[edit]
Early years[edit]
The man and the woman, known as S and V respectively, were members of the White Mantle who had settled into Gavril to convert the villagers to the faith of the mursaat before sacrificing them to feed the bloodstones. The mursaat eventually turned on the White Mantle and captured them to use them for sacrifices after depleting the village. Before being brought to the Golden Lake, V took a golden ring which had belonged to the White Mantle's victims and hid it in a bush near the holding facility. After being detained, she was given something to write on, and she detailed her experiences in a lengthy letter addressed to S. She swore to always wait for him even beyond death.[1]

In 1338 AE, the Pact Commander found the letter detailing the lovers' harrowing experiences and retraced their steps, locating the golden ring symbolizing their passion and finally placing it in the Lover's Wall as V had always wanted. Upon doing so, the pair of ghostly lovers manifested and walked past the wall before disappearing from sight, seemingly at peace at last.
