Quicksand is an environmental hazard inflicted to the player when walking into the quicksand river in Dry Top. This effect deals damage, inflicts  Blinded and  Vulnerability, reduces movement speed, and prevents endurance regeneration or applying  Swiftness. The effect is cleared upon leaving the river, and can be avoided altogether by mounting a skimmer.

• Dry Top: Quicksand Survivor — Survive for a minimum of 15 seconds while standing in the quicksand river around Prosperity. (5)

Notes

• Damage dealt by this effect is a percentage of the character's maximum health. As such, the damage ignores defense and does not count as a hit for "on-hit" effects. Similar to lava, damage continues after death, making revival difficult.
