Welcome to the MEDICAL TERMINAL. All records are organized by subject, and several records are locked behind security badge validation.

Feedback, Furnaces, and Failures:

My sister says I should journal more, but these days, my pen weighs heavy. I fear this project will be the death of me. Already, I was forced to incinerate several staff members involved in the initial surgical work to excavate that coral "heart" from the Castoran reef, plus another clumsy staffer who spilled coral fragments in the hallways during transit. My hands are bloodied. Our sterilization and disposal furnace monthly energy metrics will be affected.

Arch Researcher Tunsi insists that Researcher Anto may have been a double agent, serving our ambitious rivals back at CAS-U-3. I am not so certain. After all, Anto did not even notice the subtle nerve agents slipped into his onsite breakfast. I'd expect more from our rivals.

Poor Project Selection:

When our vessel crashed, I presumed we had all the evidence required to evaluate this coral worthy of a wide berth. Instead, after rescuing Arch Researcher Tunsi, I'm getting dragged along after his latest obsession. Meanwhile, the rest of our team seems to resent my calls for greater caution. Left to their own devices, I worry they'd tear me apart for sport and scholarship.

Castora contains such a wondrous myriad of flora and fauna, each presenting prime opportunities for weaponization. The local crustaceans alone have such novel adaptations and potential for improvement! Laser crabs! To my intellect, it seems so obvious.

But no. Tunsi insists upon weaponizing the volatile coral that surrounds the entirety of Castora. Already our tests reveal uncomfortable signs of low-grade sentience. Analysis of recent exposure subjects suggests this coral may well even have a capacity for violence. Perhaps even vengeance. If I was not so anxious, I might admire it. Still, I worry what our research may leave in its wake.

Survival Costs:

I must continue to refine my inoculation against the prototype coral spurs. The salve cannot manage an existing malady, as a number of my subordinates have unfortunately proven in their last gift to science. Happily, the workers I convinced to slather themselves beforehand endured exposure quite well! Beyond initial duration expectations even—although, past that, continued exposure still proved deleterious. My medical salve is obviously effective, but it still requires repeated administration. That damn coral adapts irresponsibly fast.

I may be able to prolong the duration of effect if I apply distinct versions of the medical salve across thin layers with timed releases? Below, I have attached extended documentation on how to achieve this implementation with my prototype Inquest Krewe Medical Salve Diffuser. If I am lucky, Tunsi will finally approve this care for our entire team. I suppose it may come down to a cost comparison between salve material costs and furnace expenses. I do not envy Senior Energy Calculator Kagg.

For the time being, I will employ the method on myself to guarantee that my genius survives to benefit future generations.
