Appearance.

Castoran Coral is a subspecies of coral found exclusively on reefs surrounding Castora. The coral's magical emanations contribute to the island's secrecy as a living warding spell as designed by the seers. If any coral heart is extracted from the reef, hurting it will lead it to defending itself by adapting to different pain responses. The coral has the ability to grow and expand rapidly and aggressively as well as produce clouds of fragments which, if inhaled, cause effects ranging from seemingly benign psychoactivity to lethal neurotoxicity. The coral is also able to infect and reanimate a corpse affected by the fragments, turning them into living weapons whose sole purpose is to protect the coral.
