— In-game description

Mechanics

• The Shield of the Avenger (NPC) is barely noticeable, as it only lasts for a split second. This renders Merciful Intervention's shadowstepping to it rather impossible.
• The Weakness is applied immediately.

Bugs:

• When traited, the utility bar tooltip does not indicate that it blocks missiles, whereas elsewhere it does not indicate reduced recharge and added burning.
• The dome looks bigger than it is, it is still in fact a 180 radius making it the same size as the similar skill sanctuary.
• In unique instances, the projectile blocking bubble will not spawn if cast while in the air.

July 24, 2018	Fixed a bug that allowed this skill to block unblockable projectiles.
February 06, 2018	Reduced the recharge time between casts from 8 seconds to 1 second. Spirit Weapons: Fixed a bug that prevented players from animating properly when using these skills while equipped with a two-handed weapon.
September 22, 2017	Path of Fire release: Reduced the cast time of this skill from 0.75 seconds to 0.5 seconds. Increased the duration of the missile shield from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.
August 16, 2017	Fixed a bug that prevented Shield of the Avenger damage from scaling with the guardian's attributes.
August 10, 2017	Fixed a bug that could cause spirit weapons to go on cooldown after not being used for a sufficient amount of time.
August 08, 2017	Path of Fire pre-patch: Spirit weapons have been reworked. They now use the ammo system. Shield of the Avenger: This now has an ammo count of 3, and using the skill creates a protective dome and flings projectiles at nearby enemies. Count recharge is 25 seconds.
