Shing Jea Fishing Tournament is a level 80 dynamic fishing event that occurs in the bay by Fishing Hamlet and the renown heart in Eastern Wilds. Speak with Tournament Organizer Yu first to participate.

Walkthrough

The point of the event is to earn more points than your opponents, either by catching more fish or higher quality fish.

• To participate, it is required to sign up with Tournament Organizer Yu, earning the  Tournament Participant effect.
• The fish can be caught either from open water or the fishing nodes in the event area.
• Catching fish will grant different amounts of  Tournament Points:
  • AJunk — 0 points
  • BBasic — 1 point
  • CFine — 1 point
  • DMasterwork — 1 point
  • ERare — 3 points
  • FExotic — 3 points
  • HLegendary — 3 points
• Having the most tournament points grants  Frontrunner Status, which is required to win the tournament (but not necessary to earn rewards).

Bug:

Incorrectly gives 3 points for rare fish, contrary to the organizer's statement that only exotic fish or above award triple points.

Notes

• Cutlass Fish will always be caught in the Rare Fish node.
• The event will start every 20 minutes. With the 2 minutes signup event and 8 minute duration, there's a 10 minutes downtime between events.
• The pre-event cannot start while Defend the village's supplies from naga raiders (80) is active, delaying this event.
