When has a festival ever ended on a Friday?

In-game says the festival and all associated achievements end in 28 days, either that's a bug or I suspect Anet may have gotten the end date of Jan 2 wrong in their news and social media posts. --Tofu (caeldom) (talk) 19:43, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

In-game as of today still says the festival "ends in 20 days", Wizards Vault Special objective (Festival) Complete the (Annual) Wintersday Traditions Achievement says "21 days remaining", and latest Bluesky post still says ends Jan 2. I don't recall any event ever ending on a Friday, so it's highly likely that the media posts have the date wrong. Tuesday 6th will almost certainly be the last day, ending on a Tuesday, like all other festivals. » Keneth O'Connor, 17:17, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Edit: I missed this official X tweet confirming Jan 6

12/9/2025—December 9 Release Notes is the only official source I have found which supports the in-game countdown, "To give festivalgoers ample time to enjoy the holiday, Wintersday will be active until January 6 at noon Pacific Time (UTC-8). See you in Divinity's Reach!"
