Daily Account Cap

Seems like there is a account wide daily cap of 30 Aetherlocation Treasures. XeroKitsune (talk) 02:44, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

Agreed on this, tested it two days running. If you have uncovered a 31st chest it will tell you "You have uncovered all of the treasures of this type for today." when you try and open it with red text in chat. So far, it seems they just won't uncover more if you don't keep track of numbers to see you hit cap. Cinnibar (talk) 07:05, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

Tested it again today, had a cap of 30. To confirm the cap, I think best practice is to uncover a couple more chests than you loot on each map. So you will always have one last chest to attempt to loot if you did not get the cap message. You may have hit all the chests in a map if you didn't try another one as there was nothing left to reveal Cinnibar (talk) 05:46, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

It must be on a 24hr timer, but resetting individually as time passes, and not all reset with daily reset. I just opened 6 Treasures and now I can't find a single one in any water in Dragon's End. I know there are no zones listed for Cantha here yet, but Dragon's End has got plenty of water so I'm thinking there must be some there. Either there is none there, or the cap is 24hrs but not resetting all at once but potioning out new ones as time passes. Ie. You opened 1 at 6pm on thursday, 6.10pm second, 6.20 third etc. They will individually reset 24hrs later, that is you'll be able to access one again 6pm friday, one 6.10pm friday and one 6.20pm friday. That would explain why some people feel it has been nerfed to 20/day. Their last 10 has not yet been reset.83.249.166.242 19:10, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

In addition to the above, I just scanned every single water area of Plains of Ashford, Iron Marshes and Fireheart Rise in Ascalon, and came up empty. Not a single chest. I did this twice, with about two hours offline in-between. Nada. Which I'm sure can't be intended, leading me to believe maps can spawn or come to a state somehow where no chests spawn on them. Or like I said above, chests spawn individually 24hrs after one was opened, one by one. Bug or not, it's awfully annoying.83.249.166.242 19:56, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Thunderheads Peaks and Gentle River

I wrote in my edit comment that TP map doesn't have chests. It might be wrong. I probably hit the daily cap mentioned above. Please don't add anything based on my edit comment before checking the places with an account that didn't hit the cap. Eowin (talk) 21:10, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Draconis Mons

tried to find Aetherlocation Treasures in Draconis Mons today and while I could safely use the skimmer on/under the water at the bottom layer of the map I did not seem to find any chests when combing roughly 2/3rds of the water area there. (I did not check the north-eastern area as I got dismounted and killed a few times by 'invisible' map borders in the middle of the map (got same popup as for going too far out on the standard map borders).

24 Hour Reset on each chest

I've been searching the waters in Lion's Arch while waiting for pvp queues and I have found a treasure in the same location at least 3 maybe 4 times. I have been able to open it all the times I've found it. Am I reading this page wrong in that that shouldn't be the case? (Pvp queues being important bc I could be in different instances each time, though I didn't check) Pikkle (talk) 15:38, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

I struck out completely today in Qinkaishi Basin (which is currently on the list) while I found quite a few in both Lake Lutgardis and Mori Village, so I'm adding those to the list. --ZeeWabbit (talk)

Janthir

Going to start logging what I find

- Known locations: Lowland Shore (My research, mostly in right half of the map) - Astral Ward Mooncamp, Delta Bifurcation, left of Bearpaw Fields, Fisher's Spread, North of Harvest Shore, Alder Cove, Hibernation Grotto (above waterfall, below waterfall), Fading Aurora's House, Amphibian's Knot (stopping there for today)

Number of Chests in each location

If I am certain of the number of chests in a section of a map, should I add that number to the end of the location? I think some people have added that already. Also, it looks like most of the chest locations are in fixed locations, will the be an attempt at some point to mark them all on the map? Pikkle (talk) 19:18, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
