If the target location is the same person in the crate event, then the slowed down Skyscale is still the fastest choice of delivery since it just flies up while Skimmer has to go around all houses. If someone else wants to verify. --Lucy Luft (talk) 05:28, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Confused

Am trying to do this quest but confused about what to do. Can only find one of the named NPCs (Hei-Ryung) but am unable to interact with her. There's a basket of fish on the dock which gives me the option to carry or help catch fish when interacting with it, but I camt figure out what to do when selecting either of these two options. It's an event so you can only do its stuff when the event is active (i.e. when an orange circle is visible on the minimap). VectorSomething (talk) 14:04, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

It's been a long time since I did either variant, but if I remember correctly for the fish variant you have to pick up a fish and deliver it to an NPC marked on the minimap (or just with an icon above their head) while occasionally re-catching the fish when it slips from your hands (as indicated by a timer). The crate variant is just taking a crate and slowly getting it to an NPC, but being mounted up on a Jackal or Skimmer speeds it up I think. VectorSomething (talk) 20:48, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

For further notes, the crate variant can be mounted up during if you take a sled (skimmer, warclaw, roller beetle, and turtle is quickest, though skimmer is easiest to avoid losing the sled with) and Superspeed helps greatly if going on foot. VectorSomething (talk) 21:03, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for the explanation and for editing the article to provide more information. I'd only encountered the fish variant before (which - as per my original comment above - I found baffling), but today I encountered the crate variant and your walkthrough made completing this event a breeze! I suppose that for people who've played GW2 for years this is just another "gather and drop off" event, with maybe a slight variation, but for someone relatively new to the game I was at a loss.
