Volatile magic[edit]
My Scion-Spike Amulet dropped 500 Volatile Magic on top of Stabilizing Matrix. Do we care about it? There is no column with it and others don't drop it... And I don't think it's important when we go for Salvaged Excellence but well, it's guaranteed drop according to fast farm.
- Some (e.g. living world s3 and s4, and raid) trinkets have a set drop when salvaged, I don't suppose we should clutter the table for the salvaged excellence drop-rate research with it. jowjowjow (talk) 12:19, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sux03cNFLSY (from Trutichup) shows 300 assorted amulets being salvaged. Result was:
- 1,316 x Stabilizing Matrix (414g)
- 64 x Ball of Dark Energy (N/A)
- 4 x Salvaged Excellence (1,600g) (from Mark of the Imperial Guard, Gwen's Necklace, Charisma, Call of the Wild)
Comments included the statement: Amulets...cannot drop from Vials of Salt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5k0MmkxxDo (from Cellofrag) shows 38 assorted amulets being salvaged. Result was:
- 218 Stabilizing Matrix
- 3 Salvaged Excellence (2 from Wynne's Locket, 1 Blood Ruby Pendant)

Majic find[edit]
Is the drop rate affected by magic find ?
- Magic find affects only direct drops and loot boxes that indicate magic find affects them. Salvaging does have lucky drops but but they're only affected by the tier of salvage kit. Only one tier of salvage kit can be used for ascended gear, so you've got the same chances as anyone else. SarielV
