Bandits have set up shop to the southwest atop the spider dens. If you're brave enough to venture into the woods, you could find out how large their operation is and any weak points in their patrols.

If you see any any [sic] of the Seraph hostages they took, do what you can to help them. While you're out there, you can destroy the bandits' supplies and force them to come out where we can return the favor.

I'd just watch my back. There are dangerous animals everywhere and we've heard panicked whispers of a "beast" of some sort. Good luck.

What happened to you?

My unit was sent to investigate rumors of bandit forces coluding[sic] with centaurs in Wynchona. But we weren't prepared for the size of their operation. The bandits swarmed us before we had time to react.

You were ambushed?

We barely made it out alive. The bandits must have turned their attention to other operations. Otherwise, they would have come to finish us off by now.

Where's the rest of your unit?

Those who weren't killed in the attack were dragged off deeper into the woods. Captain Marshall ordered the wounded back here to Rally Point while he and a small group went to rescue them.

That was brave of him.

Jim returned dragging a half-dead Sandra and saying the spiders in the woods ambushed the rescue team. Given his current state, there's no telling what he really saw out there.

What are the bandits doing out here?

Adventurers report the bandits were moving captives to a nearby centaur camp. It might be the missing villagers from Shaemoor. And if the two forces are working together, this could be catastrophic.
