- Might (8s): 30 Condition Damage, 30 Power
- Number of Casts: 3
- Duration: 7 seconds
- Radius: 360
- Combo Field: Fire
— In-game description
Mechanics[edit]
- Requires using 3 skills within its radius to upgrade its follow-up skill from its Lesser version.
- Allies are not affected by the pulsing benefit within the radius; only the elementalist is affected by it.
- Allies, however, can use the associated combo field.
Related traits[edit]
Fire
- Power Overwhelming — While at or above the might threshold, gain increased power. Power bonuses are doubled while attuned to fire.
- Pyromancer's Training — Your fire-weapon skills gain reduced recharge. Deal increased strike damage to burning foes.
- Persisting Flames — Fire fields created by weapon skills last longer. Whenever your fire fields hit a foe or you inflict burning, gain increased strike damage for a duration.
- Pyromancer's Puissance — Gain might for using any skill while attuned to fire. When leaving fire attunement or successfully completing a fire overload, unleash a Flame Expulsion.
Evoker
- Enhanced Potency — Improve a boon based on your familiar.
Notes[edit]
- The Etching field itself does not trigger the damage buff from Persisting Flames, however the damage from Volcano or Lesser Volcano does.
Trivia[edit]
- As with all the Etchings, Etching: Volcano is related to a real life phenomenon, Volcano.
- This Etching has New Krytan text in the symbol that it creates, containing the following text:
- Inner Ring: Bright red death covering all in its black stone
- Middle Ring: The most frightening sound of all, You can't hear yourself
- Outer Ring: A colorful noise; white brown red warm to nature a melting touch
- A single letter P encased in a circle, which presumably signify Primordus
- Notably, the middle ring seems to contain slightly paraphrased quotations from Primordus's Breath and Primordus's Wisdom, while the outer ring seems to refer to Primordus's Rending
