Halloween

Once again, the gates of the Mad Realm have opened and Kryta's most infamous monarch, Mad King Thorn, has returned to hold court in Lion's Arch! Loyal vassals of the king are strongly encouraged to enjoy the festivities. Meet the denizens of the Mad Realm in events across Kryta, tour the Mad Realm itself in the Mad King's Labyrinth and fearsome Clock Tower, compete with your fellow mortals in Lunatic Inquisition, Reaper's Rumble, and the Mad King's Raceway, attend to the king's whims in his notorious pastime of Mad King Says, or match wits and blades against royalty in Ascent to Madness.

(The Lion's Arch Captain's Council wishes to remind citizens that they are not affiliated with the Krytan monarchy and cannot guarantee the safety of any person who chooses to dabble in dangerous realms, mad or otherwise.)

• The (Annual) Halloween Rituals meta-achievement has been updated with a fashionable new reward, the Lunatic Jester's Trousers. Earn this comical new armor piece by completing a variety of Halloween activities and show your allegiance to the Mad King's court with pride. Last year's meta-achievement reward, the Clawing Shadow Plate, can now be purchased from Halloween vendors.
• The new Unchained weapon set is now available, based on the classic Chained weapon set of Halloweens past. You'll receive your choice of a weapon by progressing the (Annual) Halloween Rituals meta-achievement or the (Weekly) Halloween Festivities achievement.
• The Candy Core weapon set is now available from the weekly Halloween vendors.
• Everyone's other favorite stuffed dragon friend, Plush Zhaia, is now available in backpack form from Halloween vendors. And there's more—collect all six plush dragon backpacks from upcoming festivals to receive a special title!
• The new Mini Candy Core Golem is available from Halloween vendors.
• New Halloween-themed guild decorations have been added:
  • Festive Fall Tent
  • Ominous Fortress Ruins—Right
  • Ominous Fortress Ruins—Left
  • Ominous Fortress Buttress
• The Wizard's Vault has been updated with special objectives for participating in Halloween activities.
• The Chained weapon set has been updated to include the new Chained Spear.
• Enemy health per player has been adjusted upward on non-champion door events in the Mad King's Labyrinth.
• Added a meta-event to track the time remaining until Mad King Thorn graces Lion's Arch with his presence for Mad King Says.
• Many small issues have been fixed to ensure a fun festival for all visitors to the Mad Realm.

The gates to the Mad Realm will be open for four weeks, from October 7 until November 4. Have a happy Halloween!

General

• Fixed an issue that prevented the Synergetics Cyberscale from displaying an animation for the skyscale mount's Fireball skill.

Items

• Wizard's Gobbler: The Gobbler Exchanges vendor panel now includes gobbler items purchased from the Gem Store. The Black Lion Gobblers Collector achievement tracks which Gem Store gobblers you have unlocked in order to show their respective item in the Wizard's Gobbler.
• Acquisition text has been updated for weapon skins obtained with Black Lion Claim Tickets.
• Acquisition text displayed when viewing locked minis in the Hero panel has been updated for minis obtained with Black Lion Miniature Claim Tickets.
• Added three new account-bound Halloween shoulder skins to the Black Lion Statuette vendor for all weights. The Box of Deathly Shoulder Skins, Box of Deathly Avian Shoulder Skins, and Box of Deathly Bull's Shoulder Skins are located in the Vintage Black Lion Chest Exclusives tab.
• Fixed an issue that prevented fishing rod skins from being displayed correctly.

Guild Wars 2 Wiki Notes

• The Carapace Armor Box from the repeatable Regions of Tyria Reward Track now grants the correct 2 instead of 7 Mystic Clovers.
