Wizard's Vault
“The Wizard’s Vault is a new streamlined rewards system that combines the best elements of the daily login and daily achievement systems, allowing you to play Guild Wars 2 the way you want to–whether it’s PvE, Player vs Player, or World vs World, or a mix–and earn a wide variety of exciting rewards for doing so.
Wizard's Vault is a rewards system available to all players, replacing the previous daily login reward format and its generic daily achievements.[1] After selecting their choice of either PvE, PvP, WvW, or mixed objectives, players are awarded with Astral Acclaim for completing these tasks, which can be exchanged for various rewards, including some Gem Store items. Some Wizard's Vault tasks and rewards are exclusive to expansions, but all types of accounts with a level 80 character have access to the feature and the currency.[2]
Overview[edit]
- Players receive new objectives to complete daily, weekly, with each quarterly release (called seasons), and certain festivals and bonus events. Completing them grants Astral Acclaim
- There is a soft limit of 1,300 Astral Acclaim that a player can have at any given time. Players can only claim the rewards from Vault objectives while the Astral Acclaim in an account's wallet is below 1,300 . Other sources, like an achievement that gives Astral Acclaim, may still be able to go over the soft cap.
- Players will always receive at least one daily task in each selected category.
- If different players select identical categories and own the same expansions, they will receive the same objectives. Players with different expansions may see different objectives.
- Buying an expansion will display a different set of objectives immediately, not at reset. Objectives which you have done before the purchase will only count for the progress if they are present in your new objectives list, too. Some of the new objectives might be partially or completely solved - it seems the game tracks your progress in the background. If you have already claimed a daily or weekly chest before the purchase, you will not be able to claim it again.
- Rewards refresh on a quarterly basis (indicated by the timer under the Special tab), but any Wizard’s Vault–exclusive cosmetic[3] rewards simply move into the Legacy Rewards section of the vault, where they’ll remain available for the same type of currency indefinitely, at a slightly higher price than at their introduction.[3][2]
- The rewards are attainable through regular, normal play; there are no paid upgrades or progression skips, and the Legacy Rewards section exists to take the time pressure off and allow players to catch up if they take a break.[2]
- Daily achievement points are still available, earned by completing Wizard's Vault daily objectives.
Wizard's Vault objectives can be tracked, they however replace normal tracked achievements in the UI.
- The Wizard's Vault has three sections:
- Objectives — lists all currently available objectives, also includes timers
- Astral Rewards — lists all currently available seasonal rewards
- Legacy Rewards — lists cosmetic rewards from previous seasons
Objectives[edit]
- See also: Wizard's Vault/Easy objectives, Wizard's Vault/List of objectives#Daily, Wizard's Vault/List of objectives#Weekly
The objectives available depend on the game modes selected and owned expansions. Two players with the same game modes selected and the same expansions owned will have identical objectives, but having for example PvE and WvW chosen, your PvE objectives may be different to someone with only PvE chosen, or with only Core content available.
Game mode selection[edit]
Upon opening the Wizard's Vault, players are presented with a dialogue asking them to choose which game modes (PvE, PvP & WvW) they would like to receive objectives for, allowing daily/weekly game modes to be selected independently. This selection can be changed at any time by clicking the
gear icon in the daily or weekly tabs. If any objectives have been claimed (other than the daily "Log in"), the change does not take effect until their respective refresh.
Refresh[edit]
Daily objectives refresh with the daily reset every day at 00:00, and weekly objectives refresh every Monday 07:30.
| Reset type | Countdown |
|---|---|
| Daily | <Countdown to 2026-06-05T00:00:00+00:00.> |
| Weekly | <Countdown to 2026-06-08T07:30:00+00:00.> |
| Special | <Countdown to 2026-09-01T16:00:00+00:00.> |
Daily[edit]
Four random daily objectives will be selected from the chosen set of gameplay options every day, plus a fixed "Log in" objective. Each daily objective rewards 10 on completion, while the Log In daily awards 5 .
Completing four objectives of the day will reward a daily completion chest containing other rewards and 20 . Players will also earn the Wizard's Vault: Daily Completionist daily achievement, rewarding 10 until a 15,000 limit is reached. This limit combines the current daily achievement and a number of past daily and monthly categories. (Refer to Achievement#Trivia for a list of them.)
Weekly[edit]
Eight random weekly objectives will be selected from the chosen set of gameplay options at the start of each week. Each weekly objective rewards 50 upon completion.
Completing six of the weekly objectives will reward an additional weekly completion chest containing other rewards and 450 .

Special[edit]
The special category contains additional objectives which refresh with each season (usually quarterly), and temporary festival and special event objectives. These objectives do not change by game modes selected nor expansion ownership. Most of these objectives can only be completed by playing content related to the latest expansion.
Astral Rewards[edit]
- For previous contents, see: Wizard's Vault/Historical Astral Rewards, for currency, see: Astral Acclaim
These rewards refresh quarterly. After each season ends, Wizard’s Vault–exclusive cosmetic rewards are moved to the Legacy Rewards section of the Vault at a slightly increased price (+20%).
Legacy Rewards[edit]
- For Legacy Rewards, see: Wizard's Vault/Legacy Rewards
Cosmetic rewards from previous Wizard's Vault seasons can be found in this tab for a slightly increased price (+20%). Previously purchased items cannot be purchased again from the Legacy tab.

Notes[edit]
- For research into possible objective cycles, see Wizard's Vault/research.
- While players without the Secrets of the Obscure expansion can not visit the physical location of the vault, they can access all of the functions of the vault via the in-game menu regardless.
- If a player does not collect the reward for a daily, weekly or special objective before it resets it will be lost, independent of whether the completed objective is part of the new rotation or not.
- Game updates do not reset the daily and weekly objectives, even when the Astral Rewards and special objectives are updated. A player who completes the weekly objectives on Monday before an update on a Tuesday will not get a new set of weekly objectives.
- Depending on expansion ownership, it is possible for a Daily Objective to be included twice. This results in only 3 shown objectives (excluding the log-in) rather than the usual 4, but the duplicated objective will count as two for the daily completion.
Version history[edit]
- Prior to the November 07, 2023 game update, the daily completion chest granted 30 .
- The February 3, 2026 game update updated available objectives and aimed to improve variety. It also changed some recurring rewards and Astral Acclaim pricing. Additionally, daily/weekly objective types can now be separately selected, and changed immediately as long as no objective has been completed.
