The Mist Stranger is a mysterious entity born of the Mists, humanoid in appearance but alien in biology.[1] They are dedicated to protecting Tyria from external threats. They often inform players about special events.
During New Hero Jump Start they act as the special event representative, providing profession-specific Dreambound Chests.

Trivia[edit]
- The Mist Stranger was originally introduced standing at the Scrying Pool during the Wrath of the Twisted Marionette bonus event and was later removed. The NPC was re-added in the August 31, 2021 update, this time placed at the main hall outside where they can be interacted with to enter the marionette event.
- Also provided profession-specific Dreambound Chests during the Halloween Bonus Bash.
