Acquisition

• Interacting with Rental Fishing Gear without any bait or lure equipped.

Notes

Bug:

The effect gained from the static Rental Fishing Gear in Tideland Outlet does not have a timer and does not appear to expire.

• While affected, fishing gives another Borrowed Bait in Rare Fish (replaces drop) and Open Water (in addition to drop).
• The effect gained from the temporary Rental Fishing Gear during the Lowland Shore Fishing Tournament (80) has a duration of 20 minutes, and is removed (along with the fishing rod) when the event ends.
  • The effect is not removed if the player leaves the area before the event ends.
• The fishing rod is not unequipped when the timer runs out naturally.
• Borrowed Bait and the Borrowed Fishing Lure are not affected, and will be kept both on effect removal and timeout.
• The effect is removed upon changing maps.
