This article is about the NPCs in New Kaineng City. For the story NPCs, see Ruffian (charr). 
Ruffians are disguised Purists found in groups of three around New Kaineng City during the day. In a group of three ruffians, one of them are actually veterans, despite not initially being displayed as such.

- New Kaineng City (only during the day, they will reveal themselves during Kaineng Blackout)

- Although initially neutral, as soon as they are attacked the ruffians will reveal themselves and change into various types of Purists.
- When already fighting ruffians, getting closer to another group will aggro them too.
- Immediately reverts to the ruffian state upon disengaging.
