Talk:Agony Lens
Stat Change ?[edit]
Currently the Agony Lens cannot be placed in the Mystic Forge (where Standard Attribute Infusions can be stat changed) or in the Tailor/Leathersmith/Armorsmith Stations (where gloves are crafted). 108.39.88.36 03:50, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
Item of Skin dependency?[edit]
Since there have been at least 2 editors entering false information, that the effects are bound to the item, not the skin:
Please do not spread false information. The effects are bound to the Eikasia Skin, not the legendary item.
Here's the proof:

- Can confirm, since I have tested it myself both yesterday and today. Regardless, I did add extra information regarding the transmutation and infusions, just to make it even more clear. ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 10:01, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
- There is a lot of confusion with these new items and their effects. We are trying to find a better way to display that information. There were discussions on wiki discord for days and yet it is still chaos. All I can tell is my opinions. First the gallery and effects shouldnt be on all the pages. That is why there is Eikasia, Mists-Grasper#Graphics for now. Later on those effects can be moved to their rightful pages. Second opinion would be about the item/skin issue. If you look at any legendary item you will see that the information about effects or anything like that is on the item page not on the skin page. As example look at Bolt. So I understand how frustrating it can be to work over someones hands constantly trying to help and have it changer in another moment, but if I could just ask all of you to stay calm and just collect as much data as you can. Have discussions about the issues in talk pages if you are not sure ... and soon everything will be alright --

- I put the information, where I thought it would be best, and if it is moved I don't have a problem with that, as long as the information itself is correct and the new spot still makes sense. What I was talking about is the claim, that the effects only show, if the item Eikasia is equipped, and you can't apply it's skin to other gloves to show the effect (even if legendary), which would be unusual, since most similar effects (like footfalls on a legendary weapon) are also tied to the skin, not the item. - A couple of things. There is some degree of item dependency. If I reskin the legendary gloves, the effects stop working. If I decide to revert to the original skin after it's been trasnmuted to regain the effects, they still don't work. I have to unequip and re-equip the legendary gloves. This could be a bug, but I've tested it thoroughly a couple of different days on different characters. Consistently, the effects don't show for me if the legendary gloves have been transmuted at any point in time. I have proof but I can't get the files to format correctly here. Anyway it's easy enough to try with the legendary gloves. Trasnmute, then transmute "back" to its original skin. Also the effects don't work with Spectre shroud or Holosmith NaturalFaerie (talk) 18:35, 2 October 2025 (UTC)

@NaturalFaerie, If you are not able to upload the screenshots now, maybe at least you could explain what exactly you are trying to transmute? Which skins do you apply to what exactly, step by step? There is a big chance that it is indeed a bug, but it would help us to document and figure things out if there were more info about it. Though I still say that it is skin-dependent, like it was always the case with other legendaries. I did test it myself multiple times by transmuting fine, masterwork, rare, exotic, and obsidian leggy gloves by applying Eikasia, Mists-Grasper skin to them. Every single time the default effect and/or Agony Lens infusions would show. I tested it on different characters too, and it still worked as intended. ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 22:50, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sure! I'm talking about the legendary gloves item itself. Ah, I tested it again and it works. I realize I was selecting the exotic skin instead of the legendary skin as they're both similar except for the background of the icon. But honestly that to me works just as well as invisible infusions. Let me just check what happens with rando exotic gloves plus the legendary skin. Also the leggy skin even works with whites and shows effects. Glad I checked this and discussed this and didn't add this as an edit lol NaturalFaerie (talk) 04:21, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
- Well, it seems it's a common confusion that occurs with this leggy and its skins, so understandable, as it is easy to mistake the exotic and legendary skins, if you are not paying close attention :D Glad to know it's also not a bug ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 12:07, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
Clones and phantasms[edit]
Infusions do not affect clones and phantasms, they appear to have the default colors.
